Dear Mr. Brezik,
On behalf of the 23,000 members of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 150 and President-Business Manager James M Sweeney, please accept this as a formal endorsement of your 2019 campaign for election to the office of Councilman District 5.
This endorsement is based on your commitment to ensure quality of life for the residents in your community with the many vital government services that residents rely on. In addition, you understand that addressing overall infrastructure needs in the City adds to the quality of life and ensures economic well being of the community.
Finally, your understanding that workforce development in the construction industry through the Department of Labor approved apprenticeship programs is crucial to accomplishing that goal and ensuring that public works projects are performed by reputable contractors who provide quality products and increasing the safety of workers and the general public.
