The City of Hobart has announced plans to completely renovate and expand the Fire Station No. 2 facility at 2411 W. Old Ridge Road.

City Councilman John Brezik said the upcoming project will add a new bay to the building and living quarters for firefighters.

The Neighborhood Spotlight program is focusing on revitalizing the northwest side of Hobart, and feedback from residents was gathered through surveys and interviews.

Brezik added, “Connecting with residents is critical to gain feedback about our community. I am proud to support and to be participating in this Neighborhood Spotlight program and seeing positive outcomes in the 5th District.”
