Mayor Brian Snedecor celebrated victory in the primary election May 7, 2019 and in an interview with The Times noted numerous projects he intends on exploring during his next term in office. Among the many projects Snedecor noted are plans to explore turning Hillman Park into a sports complex to draw economic activity to the west side of Hobart in the 5th District.

City Councilman John Brezik representing the 5th District is optimistic explaining, “I look forward to working with the Mayor, our dedicated team in this administration, and the citizens of Hobart, particularly those in the 5th District that I represent, to explore projects that are beneficial and move our city forward in positive directions.”
